Spread across two campuses owned by MRCT located at 85 Budge Street Blenheim and 2650 State Highway 1 Grovetown.
The main campus in Budge Street, is the home for grape and wine research and education in New Zealand. It provides offices, laboratories, teaching winery and the planned Experimental Future Vineyard operated by Plant and Food Research’s Viticulture and Oenology group. New Zealand Winegrowers and Wine Marlborough. The New Zealand Wine Centre - Te Pokapū Wāina o Aotearoa was officially opened by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on 29 September 2022.
MRC’s Grovetown Park campus is 2km away, on State Highway 1. This is a mixed campus with tenants ranging from the Ministry of Primary Industries, Hill Laboratories, DNAiTECH and commercial businesses.
Nearby is the 10-hectare Rowley Vineyard at Grovetown where research trials are undertaken and sauvignon blanc is grown.
